How to take part in the work: in thought, in work, or in money. How the work is held: Transmission. See also: Downloads, Open Source and Harmonism, About Harmonia.

Everything Harmonia makes is given: the articles, the narrations, the Living Books, the Sovereignty Bundle, Lodestone on hardware you own, and the framework the library is written with. Nothing here sits behind a paywall, and nothing will. Nothing is asked in return. This page is for the reader who wants to take part anyway, with a question, a correction, a disagreement, some work, or money. All of it is welcome, and none of it is expected.

A Teaching Given Freely

The Dhammapada ranks the gift of the teaching above every other gift (verse 354: sabbadānaṃ dhammadānaṃ jināti), and the Buddhist traditions have called teaching given freely dhamma-dāna ever since. In Matthew 10:8 Jesus sends the twelve out with the instruction “freely ye have received, freely give.” Neither tradition prices the teaching, and neither makes receiving it conditional on a return. Harmonism is offered on the same terms. The library asks nothing of its readers and keeps no account of who has given.

Lewis Hyde built The Gift (1983) on a related observation: a gift stays alive by moving onward, from hand to hand, and hardens into property when it stops. The direction he describes is outward, toward the next person, and that is the direction the library is meant to travel.

How the work is sustained is a separate matter. Harmonia earns its living from what costs something each time it is given: retreats, individual guidance, workshops, printed books, a marketplace, and in time the Harmonia Center. A gift made here adds to that and is no deposit on any of it. The Sovereign Substrate names this economic form Sacred Commerce: knowledge circulates as a commons, and the maker lives from streams that need no enclosure. Open Source and Harmonism argues the case at length.

Contributing Thought and Work

A considered response is the most useful thing a reader can send. A passage that did not land, a claim that looks wrong, a question the library leaves unanswered, a place where you disagree and can say why: each shows the work where it stands. Harmonism speaks from its own ground, and readers who push on that ground test it. A reasoned disagreement is as welcome as a correction.

Ask for an article to be refined. Every article carries a Refine button. With a free harmonism.io account you can mark a passage as unclear, outdated, wrong, out of step with the rest of the corpus, or worth taking deeper, and add a note saying where. Requests are capped at five a week, and the queue they join is read and ordered by hand. A correction that holds up changes the article for every reader after you. Anything wider than a single passage, such as feedback on the whole, a suggestion for the project, or an argument with its premises, can go by email to harmonia@harmonism.io, with or without an account.

Mirror the library. The Sovereignty Bundle is the whole corpus in one file. Pin it on IPFS, seed it as a torrent, host it on a server you control, or keep a copy on a drive in a drawer. Translate an article into your own language, teach from it, quote it. Harmonia makes no proprietary claim over any of it, and Transmission explains why no licence stands in the way. Each copy is one more place the library survives if any single host fails.

Build on the framework. The method the library is written with, Integral Knowledge Architecture, is an open-source repository on GitHub, mirrored on Codeberg and dedicated to the public domain under CC0. Issues, pull requests and forks are welcome, and so is another tradition adopting the method for a corpus of its own.

Join the community. Those who walk the path are gathering as a community of Harmonists, open to anyone and free to join. A free account is the door.

Contributing Money

Money goes straight to Harmonia, with no platform in between taking a cut.

A silent-payment address is published once, yet every payment to it lands at a fresh on-chain address that no outside observer can link back to this page. Sending to it needs a wallet that supports silent payments (BIP 352). If yours does not, use Lightning.

Harmonia endorses the money it operates on, and that is Bitcoin, Monero and Decred. No issuer can print more of any of them, and no company can freeze them. Decred adds what the other two leave to their developers and miners: holders who stake their coins vote on every change to the rules and on how the project’s treasury is spent, so the network governs itself in the open. Bitcoin’s ledger is public, and so is Decred’s. Silent payments keep a gift from being tied to this page, but the amount and the coins’ history stay visible to anyone who traces them. Monero hides sender, receiver and amount by default, which makes it the choice for a gift that should stay private.

USDC is accepted for those who already hold it. It is a dollar issued by Circle, a company that can freeze any address when a court or a regulator orders it to. Taking it is a courtesy to the giver and carries no recommendation of the rail.

What a Gift Does and Does Not Do

A gift buys nothing. No feature unlocks, no article moves up the refinement queue, no name goes on a list, and no running total is kept for display. Because it pays for no service, there is nothing to refund. Harmonia is not a registered charity, and no tax authority will treat a gift as deductible.

What a gift goes toward is the making: the writing and the editing, translations into the nine languages that are planned and not yet made, the servers, and the compute behind the hosted models a free account can reach through Lodestone. In time it goes toward the Harmonia Center, the place where the Wheel is to be lived at the scale of a village rather than described at the scale of an article.
